Firstly I want to thank all the riders who made it for the ride yesterday.
Also want to thank our volunteers Ashwath, Nithin, Harniish and Kedar. It would not have been successful without your support guys.
When the clock ticked 5.30 in the morning, it was Ashwils alarm ringing in the house and all of a sudden he wakes up and tells me that we need to get ready for the ride.
As we both reached the starting point at lalbaugh most of the riders were all set and ready for the ride.
Around 29 riders and 4 volunteers started our ride from lalbaugh at 6.35 am.
As we reached Kottara chowki, Shamjaz who is a active cyclist of WERC and also who is good in taking some memorable videos was ready with his camera to capture the moments. And he too joined the ride with us.
While reaching kuloor one of our new rider Rameez who came from Kavoor joined us and our total rider count reached 31.
It was a treat for the eyes to see a pack of cyclists pedalling on NH 66.
Senior riders were supporting the new guys and guiding them on how to change gears and when to do it. I hope all the new riders had a good experience with the other riders.
We reached the turning point Hejmadi around 8.15 am. Riders waited for everyone to reach that point and we headed back once we regrouped.
Through out the ride, the lead riders made sure that the pack is following them and the sweep riders made sure that none of the riders were left behind.
All the riders reached back to mangalore at 9.45 am. Some of the riders had personal commitments and had to leave immediately and could not join us for the breakfast at Krishna Vilasa.
Through out the ride Shamjaz, Kishan and Vivek were busy capturing some wonderful moments on their cameras. A big thank you to you guys.
Overall it was a nice ride with heavy rains and nice pleasant weather.
It was a big success because of all your support.
I want to congratulate all the new guys who completed their first 50 km ride. You guys rode very well.
